US Online Gambling Bill Update
The US Congress passed The Safe Port Act that also included the 'Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006' that aims to make it illegal for US banks to process transactions related to online gaming (
Reuters News Release).
In light of this development, we want to communicate with you that we are available to answer any questions that you may have regarding this event. As more questions are resolved in the upcoming weeks, we will continue to update you.
PlayUnited.com and their software provider, RealTime Gaming, have not announced any changes due to these new regulations. Players from all geographical areas are still able to register new accounts, collect the new player and other bonuses, and continue to enjoy their favorite casino games. We assure you that your Earn United affiliate account will continue to generate revenue from all players globally and your commissions will be processed on schedule.
At this time, we would like to offer a few suggestions to all of our affiliates:
- Register a non-US bank account and/or an alternative payment solution account other than NETeller to receive your affiliate earnings. We recommend
www.payspark.com as an alternative payment method.
- Ensure all your gaming websites are hosted outside of the US.
- Register your company, URLs, and other assets under a non-US entity
- Diversify your traffic to International markets to reduce your reliance on the US market
We are focused on keeping the lines of communication open so if you would like any further information on these recommendations, please contact us.
Sincerely,
Ryan King
Program Manager
